Meet Dr. Zahida Iqbal

The value that guides both my life and my work is the Golden Rule: do unto others as you wish others to do unto you. This philosophy shapes every interaction I have with my patients and reinforces my commitment to providing care that is compassionate, ethical, and individualized. My passion for lifelong learning stems from a desire to continually refine my skills so I can deliver the highest level of care to the patients who trust me with their oral health.

My goal as a dentist is not only to treat existing issues, but also to restore what has been lost, educate my patients, and empower them to prevent future problems. By restoring and rehabilitating both aesthetics and function, I help support my patients’ overall health and confidence. I believe strongly in building genuine, personable connections and taking the time to understand each patient’s unique needs so that every treatment plan is truly tailored to the individual.

I have been practicing dentistry for 18 years and continue to be inspired by the profession every day. Dentistry represents the most sophisticated blend of science, art, biology, and engineering, and I genuinely love the opportunity it gives me to interact with and care for people. This fascination with the complexity of dentistry has fueled my ongoing pursuit of advanced education and specialized training.

Education and Experience

I earned my Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Pennsylvania and practiced general dentistry for several years, during which time I completed multiple comprehensive certificate programs in areas such as dental implants and occlusion. Driven by a deep interest in rehabilitative dentistry, I went on to complete formal specialty training in Prosthodontics and earned a Master of Science from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. I am currently honored to be a Fellow in Oral Oncology and Maxillofacial Prosthodontics at MD Anderson Cancer Center.

My commitment to lifelong learning includes advanced continuing education through programs such as the Comprehensive Implant Continuum, Dawson Academy Scholar and advanced training, the Executive Practice Management Certificate Program at the University of Florida, and the Academy of Laser Dentistry. I also offer aesthetic services including Botox® and dermal fillers as part of a comprehensive approach to facial harmony and patient care.

Outside the Office

I was born and raised in the beautiful Hunza Valley of Northern Pakistan and have proudly called Odessa, Florida home for the past 24 years. Outside of dentistry, I enjoy reading, traveling, cooking, and learning about diverse topics, especially human physiology and food, which continues to deepen my appreciation for health, culture, and the human experience.
