Who We Are

Tampa Advanced Dental Solutions is a second-generation specialty practice focused on prosthodontics, periodontics, and maxillofacial rehabilitation. Founded in 1996 by Dr. C. Edgar Davila, a board certified maxillofacial prosthodontist, the practice has grown into a regional destination for patients requiring advanced, restorative-driven care — supported by digital technology, an in-house dental laboratory, and a team of specialists. We are proud to serve patients across three Tampa Bay locations: Central Tampa, Westshore, and Wesley Chapel.

The mission has not changed since the beginning: to restore comfort, function, and confidence with precision, intention, and a standard of care that complex cases demand.

Tampa Advanced Dental Solutions takes on the cases other practices cannot — and has been doing it for thirty years.

The Foundation

Dr. C. Edgar Davila trained at Cayetano Heredia Peruvian University, pursued advanced general dentistry training at Eastman Institute of Oral Health, completed his prosthodontic residency alongside his masters at the University of Louisville, and completed a Maxillofacial Prosthetics Fellowship at the MD Anderson Cancer Center. He is board-certified in prosthodontics, trained in maxillofacial prosthodontics, and a Certified Dental Technician. He has practiced in Tampa for more than thirty years. In that time he has built one of the few private practices in Florida capable of delivering the full spectrum of prosthodontic, periodontal, maxillofacial, and implant care under one roof — and has established the referral relationships across the region to match.

The Practice Today

What began as one specialist's vision has grown naturally into a multi-generational team. Dr. Alexandra Davila-Pettyjohn, board-eligible prosthodontist, joined the practice in 2023. Dr. Christian D. Davila, board-certified periodontist, joined shortly after. Their younger sister Vanessa is currently completing her dental school training and will be undergoing her prosthodontic residency — the next chapter in a practice that continues to grow without losing what made it worth growing.

Together with Dr. Zahida Iqbal, Dr. Alejandro Caribas, Dr. Sonia Vargas, Dr. Ruben Viloria, and the broader TADS team, we offer a level of integrated specialty care that is genuinely uncommon in private practice.
