Meet the Doctor
Christian E. Davila DDS, MS, FACP, PA
Dr. C. Edgar Davila is a second-generation dentist trained originally in Lima, Peru, at Cayetano Heredia Peruvian University School of Dentistry. He graduated with summa cum laude honors and obtained the prestigious "Hipolito Unanue" award for his research work in Temporomandibular Joint Disorders. He came to the United States in 1989 and completed postdoctoral education in Advanced General Dentistry Program at the University of Rochester Eastman Dental Center in Rochester, New York. Then he enrolled in a specialty program in Combined Prosthodontics at the University of Louisville School of Dentistry, Kentucky, where Dr. Davila obtained his specialty certificate and Master of Science Degree in Oral Biology performing research in Digital Imaging of the Temporomandibular Joint. Following completion of his specialty certificate, Dr. Davila completed a one-year Fellowship program in Maxillofacial Prosthetics and Dental Oncology at the world renown institution, the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. He is a former full-time staff maxillofacial prosthodontist at the Head and Neck Program at H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, Florida and faculty member at the University of South Florida School of Medicine Department of Otorhinolaryngology. He is past president of the Florida Prosthodontic Association.
